The Silence is Over: Taonga Puoro is a half hour documentary, which was produced for TVNZ’s “Artsville” with funding from NZ On Air and Television New Zealand.

The traditional Māori instruments Taonga Puoro were smashed/buried/burned at the time of the missionaries and have been returned through the efforts of Hirini Melbourne, Richard Nunns, Brian Flintoff and newcomer Horomona Horo.
